Thanksgiving

We had a very nice Thanksgiving at G'ma and G'pa's house. Wayne didn't come because he had a sore throat. Everyone else from Thompsons, Gildersleeves, Melvilles and Grows (Scott and Viola) were there. We used paper plates this year so the clean up was quick and easy.
Now we are in the process of putting up Christmas decorations. It will be interesting to see how it goes with young ones and the trees. Allie already discovered the joy of watching the ornaments swing when you hit them.
It has been great having Rick home for a couple of days. We went to the temple and then to see The Work and the Glory II. I do like being with my husband.
We are getting our first snow of the year today and it is supposed to keep going most of the week. UGH! It looks pretty but I can't stand the thought of having to drive in it.

Thanks for links

My computer is still being worked on. It sounds like it is the same problem with Greg and Tammy's. We got it going with a new hard drive and then it fried the new drive as well. Dave set up his laptop for us to use for the time being but it is much slower than I am used to. I also usually have blogs on my favorites and now it is much harder to get to them. Thanks to those of you who have links. I only need to get to one blog and can just link to the others. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Mark, the holiday boy, says this is the best holiday of the year. Christmas is the best season of the year. And may the blog fairy be with you and give you enough time to blog.

Down

I am actually posting from school today because our computer has been down. I haven't tried to get into anyone's blog from here because I can't remember all the addresses, but I will try later. Our hard drive is dead and David is working on saving and/or restoring what he can but school comes first and our computer is only second (can you believe that?) Worst case scenario is that we will need a new computer and our budget won't quite handle that right now. Hopefully David can pull it out. Don't think I am ignoring you.

Not much news

There really isn't much news here but since I love reading new posts, I'll add one for everyone else. The best news is that Ya-ping is feeling much better. She still has stones and they haven't figured out the cause yet, but we are on our way.
I got to attend the temple wedding of my friend Jackie's son. It was very nice. Jackie paid to have my nails done the day before. I have loved having finger nails. I feel more feminine and love to look at them. I am afraid that means our budget is in trouble because it will cost me about $20 a month to keep them up. Luckily I have a husband who works too hard and supports us well.
We just shampooed the carpet last night and rearranged the living room so we can accomodate the Christmas tree in a few weeks. That seems weird that Christmas is just around the corner. I have started shopping, but just a very little bit. My family is getting old enough that they aren't that fun or easy to buy for. We also have so many toys for Allie and Preston that they don't need much either. It will still be fun. As I get older the 'present' part of Christmas gets less important and the 'family' part gets a lot more fun!
I love and miss you all.

New pictures

As you can tell, David posted some pictures for me. Aren't they cute kids? We will try to get some Halloween pictures posted but I think Nan might have taken them with her "film" camera...how old fashioned can you get?
