Quiet house

We are much smaller in number now. David and Ya-ping are in Taiwan for a while. They have open ended tickets so they can come back any time between now and August. They need to see if they can make any money there before they decide when to come back. Dave recieved his rejection from SanDiego. Luckily it came the same day as an offer of a fellowship at Rochester. NY will pay him $3000 more than a regular grad student because they want him so badly. One ego stroke for every rejection helps keep you on an even keel. He will probably end up at Vanderbilt in Nashville, but last I knew had not made the final decision. Allie asks about Preston but has done better than we anticipated. She knows they are far away.

Sounds like there have been some changes at your house. I hope Dave and ya-ping are doing well in Taiwan. Maybe Preston will be a bilingual baby for sure now. Has it been a little bit nice having a quieter house? Let us know when Dave decides where he is going.
