And the envelope said.......

We finally got Mark's mission call. It has been a long, crazy process but it finally came. He actually got the call yesterday but didn't want us to bring it to him at work. He doesn't get home until after midnight and his dad leaves about 2AM, so he decided to wait until tonight when g'ma and g'pa and Sue and boys could come. Where to, you are wondering. Well remember that I had to wait for over 24 hours so these few moments are nothing. He was called to the Washington Spokane Mission. He leaves November 28. He was thinking that the 28th would be perfect because he would get to have Thanksgiving at home (one of his favorite holidays) before he left and he will probably get home just before Thanksgiving, so he will only miss one. He was a little disappointed that he isn't speaking a foreign language but he is thrilled to be in the US. He said it is a a lot less scary and a lot less stressful being somewhere so familiar. The Lord does have a hand in the process.

Congratulations! That's always so exciting to find out where those 2 years will be spent. I'm much impressed with Mark's patience in waiting...I never would have been able to do that! Washington is a beautiful state and I'm sure he'll be an awesome missionary there.
