One more surgery down

Both G'pa Ebbert and Allie had outpatient surgery this week (after G'ma and Nan both had eye surgery two weeks ago). All are well. Allie just had her tonsils out this morning and is still sleeping. She never does well waking up from the anesthetia and is pretty crabby until she is coherent, but does pretty well after that. It is always funny to watch her after they give her the versed. She gets really wobbly and must see double because she looks at things with a puzzled look. Today she told Nan to "stop doing that with your eyes". It is comical.

I hope she has a quick recovery. What was Gpa's surgery for?

Grandpa called it a "plumbing problem". It was with urology. They found a couple of strictures and got those stretched out for him.

Wow. Why did they take Allie's tonsils out? Does she get sick a lot or is it related to the esophogus prob? I hope everyone is doing well. Sounds like there are lots of people to take care of.

I never had my tonsils out. Is it really common?
